Jules Zimmermann earned his PhD in physics at the University of Berne, Switzerland. Thereafter he worked in laser and plasma physics at the Laboratory for Laser Energetics in Rochester, New York, where he had the privilege to work – among others – with Gérard Mourou, the Physics Nobel Laureate 2018.
Later, he moved to the biomedical field and made a career in the pharmaceutical industry, where he was active in research, development and IT, as well as marketing, communications and business services. More recently, he spent most of his time in management training, personal development and coaching.
Next to work, he practices daily yoga, a discipline in which he is certified as a teacher by Yoga Switzerland, the Swiss national federation, and by EUY, the European Union of Yoga. He is also active as a jazz musician and plays double bass, tuba and sousaphone in several bands in the Basel area and beyond (you will find a sample here or there).
His native language is French, but he is equally fluent in German and English. He is married and father of two adult children.
